Terms of Sale and Use

These are the terms for buying and using Hartane, a Notion template. They are written in plain English on purpose.

1. Who we are

"Hartane", "we" and "us" mean [Legal name of the seller and state, e.g. Firaol Hassen, sole proprietor, or the LLC name: Firaol to confirm]. Our postal address is 223 NE Glisan, Portland, OR 97204, United States. You can reach us at hello@hartane.com. "You" means the person or company that buys Hartane.

2. What you are buying

Hartane is a template for Notion, a system of linked pages and databases for agencies and founders. When you buy, we give you a link to duplicate (copy) the template into your own Notion workspace. After that, the copy is in your workspace and under your control. We are not a hosted service and we do not keep a running copy for you.

The pilot is a work in progress. Every copy includes a Registry that lists each part and its test status. If a part is marked as not tested, it has not been tested.

3. Your licence

When your payment is complete, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use your copy of Hartane for your own use, including your own client work. You can edit and change your copy as you like.

You may not:

• resell, sub-license, give away, publish or share the template itself (the duplicate link or a copy of it) with anyone else, whether free or paid;
• install Hartane for other companies, or set it up for a client in a way that hands them their own copy or the template. Installs for other companies need a separate licence, which is not part of the pilot. Ask us at hello@hartane.com;
• repackage Hartane, or a substantial part of it, as your own template or product.

Using Hartane to run your own business, including tracking your clients, projects and invoices inside your own workspace, is fine. We keep ownership of the Hartane template, name, logo and written materials. You keep ownership of everything you put into your copy.

4. Pilot offer

• Price: $99 USD, one time, for the first 5 buyers. We may change the price for later buyers.
• Who can buy: buyers in the United States only, during the pilot.
• What we ask: one 30-minute setup and feedback call. If you like Hartane, we may also ask for a short review or testimonial. The review is optional, you can say no, and saying no does not affect your copy or your refund. We will not publish your name or words without your written OK.
• Not included: setup done for you, custom work, or support beyond the call and reasonable email help.

5. Payment

Payments are handled by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. We do not see or store your full card number. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to your payment. Prices are in US dollars. 6. Refunds

You can ask for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. See our Refund policy for how.

7. What you need

You need your own Notion account. Hartane runs inside Notion and depends on Notion's features, plans, limits and terms, which we do not control. Notion's Free plan works for one person. Teams of two or more usually need a paid Notion plan, and some automations and webhooks need a paid plan. Notion forms do not copy with a template, so you rebuild them. Any Notion fees are paid by you to Notion. Notion can change its product, and that may change how your copy works.

Hartane is an independent product. It is not made, endorsed or supported by Notion Labs, Inc.

8. Your data and your workspace

We do not have access to your Notion workspace. If you ask us for help and choose to invite us (for example as a guest), you decide what we can see, and you can remove us at any time. Please do not store passwords, card numbers or other secrets in Hartane. The Owner Vault is designed to hold references to accounts, not the passwords themselves. How we handle information about you is in our Privacy policy.

9. No guarantees about results

Hartane is a tool to help you organize your work. We do not promise any particular business result, income, clients or growth. Templates, automations and integrations can fail or stop working, for example because of changes at Notion or other services. You are responsible for checking your own data, backing it up, and your own business, tax and legal decisions.

Hartane is provided "as is", with no promise that it will meet your needs or work without errors. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim about Hartane is limited to the price you paid for it.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under law that cannot be waived.

10. Ending the licence

If you break section 3, we may end your licence by email. If we refund you, your licence ends and we ask you to delete your copy (see the Refund policy). We cannot remove a copy from your workspace ourselves.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. A change applies to purchases made after the change is posted. If we change them in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page.

12. Governing law and disputes

The laws of [State whose law applies: Firaol to choose] apply to these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
